Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is well-known American actor. Kellie Martin has appeared in many films and TV series, including "Christy", the drama about a young woman known as Christy Huddleston. Her other roles of note include her title character in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department store owner and a kindergarten teacher, Martin began her acting career when she was just seven, when her aunt who served as an nanny to Michael Landon's children, helped her land her a role in the series of 1982 'Father Murphy'. Following the time of her Yale University graduation, she started to focus on acting, and managed to secure significant roles on both television and cinema. Martin, who is an actor, as well as an accomplished photographer and dancer has been in the industry for the past 20 years. As a mother to two kids, she has become the National spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has actively promoted this disease ever since her sister's death due to the disease at 19.
